Certificate Customization
One of the biggest features of Levelup is that it is highly customizable. Not only can you customize courses, and the overall theme of the platform, but you can also customize the certificates that your learners will get after completing the course with certificate customization.
Here is how you can customize the course certificate:
A certificate is awarded to the learner when they complete a course on Levelup. This is available as an online document which the learner can access from their profile. The learner can print it out or save it on their system as a PDF file.
Here are the steps to follow to customize your Levelup certificate.
STEP 1 : Log on to your Levelup admin account
STEP 2 : In the sidebar menu on the left, click on ‘Settings’. Please note that you will have to scroll the sidebar a bit to locate the ‘Settings’ option (Gear icon).
STEP 3 : Under ‘Settings’, click on ‘Theme’
STEP 4 : Now you will be redirected to the ‘Theme’ page. Scroll down to the Certificate section.
STEP 5 : In the Certificate section, you will find two tabs – one for ‘Edit Template (Default)’ and another for ‘Create Own Design’. Click on ‘Create Own Design.’
STEP 6 : In this tab, you will find two sections – One for ‘Background & Border’ and ‘Background Image’
STEP 7: In the ‘Background & Border’ section, you will have the following elements:
STEP 8 : Next, you will get a text editor. This is where you can edit the content that goes onto the certificate.
STEP 9 : You can type in the text on the editor, and it will appear in the preview window just beside it.
STEP 10 : Now, there are some attributes like ‘UserName’, ‘CourseTitle’, ‘CompanyName’, ‘CertificateId’, ‘IssueDate’, that will differ from case to case. When it’s time to add them to the certificate, simply choose the attribute from the list above.
In the actual certificate, Levelup will automatically replace those fields with the relevant data. For example, if you have chosen to put ‘UserName’, the system will automatically put the name of the learner to whom it awarded to.
STEP 11 : Please note that you will have to enter all five (5) fields to the certificate before you can save.
STEP 12 : You can use the text editor to change the font style, size, color, among other things
STEP 13 : Once you are done editing the text and adding the required attributes, click on Add button below the text editor.
STEP 14 : To edit or delete any field you have added, simply hover over the text or field in the preview window. You will get two options – one to edit the text and one to delete it completely. Choose the one that you want.
STEP 15 : You will also be able to drag the text fields on the preview section to arrange their positions on the certificate.
STEP 16 : To make your certificate more attractive, you can also add an image to your certificate. Just click on upload and then click on the Add button. Please note that this is not a background image, it will be added in the same layer as the text.
STEP 17 : In the ‘Background Image’ section, you can click on ‘Upload Background Image’ to upload a background image.
STEP 18 : You can print your certificate directly by clicking on the ‘Print Certificate’ button below the preview section.
STEP 19 : You can also publish the certificate by clicking on the ‘Save & Publish’ Option.
STEP 20 : Not feeling happy with the design? Want to start all over again? Hit the ‘Reset’ button at the top of the section and start a fresh.
